Valley View Excavation’s owners are proud Fernie residents and are honoured to own and operate a business in this amazing region! Founded in 2006 as A-Z Contracting Ltd., Valley View Excavation began as a window cleaning company, humbly operating out of an Astro Mini Van. Founders Kurtis Ellis and Marsha Churchill had envisioned more for their start-up. That winter, they began advertising rooftop snow removal as a way to expand into the winter season.

With a little luck from mother nature and a lot of hard work, their first winter proved to be a great success – a HUGE snowfall year led to non-stop work – keeping the business owners busy repelling from rooftops shovelling snow and cutting massive icicles with chainsaws throughout the Fernie region.

Since then, Valley View Excavation has expanded its operations to help Fernie residents, premier property developers, commercial establishments and Fernie Ski Hill lodges with top-quality landscaping services. Through high-quality work, professionalism and experience, Valley View Excavation has established itself as the leading landscaping team in Fernie.
